Kollektiv vision for a Kollektiv future

Actually this post is about being mistook for 28/29 by girls who then ignore me when they find out my real age.

Actually, not girls; women.

I think my demographic is changing - I used to fancy girls. Now I fancy women. Is it just a subtle change in nomenclature or a symptom fo greater maturity?

Wait - can't possibly be the latter

M

Comments:
No its the latter isn't it.....

Hang on, no,it can't be -Matt and mature in the same sentence?!? ;)

the problem is one of ideologically exclusivity, a tension between what is real and perceived.

If i'm nice enough to chat to about things we're both interested in and I APPEAR to be 28/29, then why does it matter that I am actually a lot younger?

Essentially people assume that a 24 year old will be a certain way / a certain kind of person, a notion which I subvert with my slightly weird collection of interests and responiblities. therefore people are not looking for a 29 year old man to chat to, they are looking for an idealised notion of what a 29 year old should be. And because I share some of those attributes they assume I am 29, when I am not.

lol

Circular arguments - you've got to love them

M

yeah circular arguments rule...and are fun

I was asked if i had an NUS card in Rymans today as they were going to give me a discount!!

Bless em...maybe i don't appear to tbe the notion of what a 32 year old should be like?
